I’m in Kolkata and festive mood is on and am hanging on with that. Entire Kolkata is being decorated with Pandels, idols and beautiful lights. People are busy doing shopping’s and definitely, hotels & restaurant are busy designing their menus for this festive season.
Thinking of this, I decided to go somewhere I can find some Bengali buffet and take a feel of the festival. So, I decided to check in to Stayotel which is located at the airport gate no 1. A proposed 3-star property with beautiful ambiance and small food place namely ON THE WAY. This hotel is a brand new and their restro has been launched last years only with good ambiance and decoration. With minimal sitting arrangement and normal decoration displayed with white background with sitting sofas in brown that really ease us to stay there.
Bengali cuisines are always my favorite and I was super delighted to check the mouth-watering stuff. What are you thinking off? Let’s start the count with some refreshing drinks, followed with starter and main course.
Get you fresh with refreshing sugandhi sarbot that follows the combination of gandhoraj lemons, soda, masala, and ice. Really refreshing!
This looks really perfect. A preparation of half hard boiled eggs, wrapped with potato mixture, dipped in batter, coated with bread crumbs and then deep fried.
Luchi with cholar dal, what else a Bengali wish to have. One of the best combinations we can have here that comprises of fluffy luchi with tasty dal.
Since, paneer being my favorite. I loved this item as it comes with a combination of creamy rich white gravy with slices of cottage cheese. Every bite comes with ease of love.
A perfect combination Muglai and western style of preparation done with steam cooked chicken prepared with Indian rich spices followed with thick red gravy. This one is the best one I had in all.

I am a lover of aloo and when I find any dishes of aloo, I can’t stop myself. Aloo dum was really good as it seems like that of Kashmiri aloo dum flavor I use to have at home. Good one and a must try one.
It is being said like if you wish to keep your liver healthy, add more and more fruits and raw veg to your diet. This is a perfect one as an example.
I know you would be feeling hungry after finding this yummilicious food but sorry there are more to the count that includes the blue lagoon, blossom, baby corn fitter, spring chicken and many more. Drop in there to enjoy the buffet at just Rs 499 inclusive of all taxes.
People who are interested to join Ala carte then they have a big list of items that will surprise you with their taste. Some of them are like chicken tandoori, chicken 65, fish ajwani tikka, murgh biryani, chicken kasa, pulao, dal, noodles and many more.
