XII Zodiac - A Delicious Buffet Waiting For You

I heard much about this Sun sign themed restaurant several times from my friends but never could make it before this puja. I was somehow determined to eat at this place during the puja vacation and finally made it. I visited XII Zodiac with my spouse for the Puja Buffet which was 1099/- per head. Though at first I thought it’s pricey, after seeing the menu and eating most of all, I withdrawn my thought. It’s even cheaper considering what it includes. So, why wait??? “Puja Buffet Menu”

In Starters - 

• Aamer Chop - that amazing and mind blowing sweet & sour taste of raw mango… deep fried, perfectly spiced, mouthwatering… 
• Macher Dimer Bora - loved the taste and enjoyed the feel of ‘Maayer haater macher dimer bora’; again deep fried, crispy, yummy
• Metey aar Kucho Chingri Chop - Wow! Heavenly taste! Or may be more than that… full of shrimps and meat liver and pure bengali spices, it tasted out of the world…

In Main Course- 

• Shukto - is there anyone who don’t love this bengali dish? But you’ll love it more once you taste it here… I can’t forget the aroma of desi ghee and home-made masala in the Shukto… made me recall my childhood days…
• Cholar Dal - another personal fav of mine, Cholar Dal with narkel kora (shredded coconut on top of the dal), kaju (cashew), kismis (dried raisin) - it tasted too good…
• Moong Dal - perfect to eat with boiled rice and assorted fries (bhaja)
• Paanch Misali Bhaja - loveliest accompaniments with dal and plain boiled rice
• Pabda Macher Jhol - once again the heavenly consort ‘gorom vaat’ (pipping hot plain boiled rice) made me feel - WOW!!! The perfect ad for ‘bangalir chokhe jol’ caption… again the taste of my mum’s cooking…
• Mutton Biryani - aromatic rice, full-boiled egg and the super-soft mutton piece and obviously the Kolkata touch - Aloo (potato) - what even can compete the taste and flavor! Keep on thinking :-D

• Keema Kosha Murgi - you’ll love it once again… Kosha Murgi is all time fav but the gravy full of chicken keema? Oh… it tastes delicious… 

In Dessert -

• Raj Bhog - every Bengalee’s favourite mishti… Raj Bhog is unequalled… served with extra garnish… loved it
• Pantua - same as Raj Bhog… another favorite of the sweet tooth Bengalees… and obviously mine :-)  
• Paan Ice Cream - Ice Cream with a truly Bengali paan flavor… enjoy the rich taste of mishti moshla paan in cool, creamy Ice Cream… 

If you think these were all they served, you are wrong :-O These are what I ate… there were many more dishes… but my appetite was inconsiderate after a certain point :-(

I think I’m gonna visit this place very soon again… I have heard of their signature buffet dishes already like Egg Salad, Chicken Salad, Crispy Chili Fish, Hakka Noodle, Chili Chicken, Chicken Curry, Assorted Mouse and many to name… Can’t resist myself from going again…

And at last but obviously not the least, XII Zodiac, The Fern Residency offers an amazing, engaging ambiance which is classy, svelte and at the same time, vibrant and lively. Sophisticated furnishing, simple yet stylish spherical glass hanging lamp shades, the color theme of the Zodiac families blue, white, brown is really calming. The place has got partitions and also wall décor portraying the recommended foods considering the individual sun signs, which is truly exciting. Want to feel the scene?
