There are some of the best places in Kolkata who need no
introduction. India Restaurant in the Kidderpore area near Fancy Market is one
of them. Serving one of Kolkata's best Biriyani and Mughlai cuisines, this
place has gone through a makeover lately.
And what to say about foods! It is as good as before...the
same traditional practice for more than two decades. Still, I would like to
define every dish served in the Iftaar Party.

The
all time favourite snacks for Kolkatans...perfect preparation, crisp and
scrumptious.
- Mutton Galawati Kebab
wow! wow! wow! I think that's enough to describe this special mouth watering kebab. Very well prepared and each bite of it offer the feeling of heaven. I think this is the best Galawati mutton kebab I had in my lifetime.
- Lucknowi Paratha
This special type of paratha was served
along with the Galawati Kebab...soft, juicy, crispy kebab with crunchy
parathas... just heavenly!
- Egg Chilli
A
li'l twist in the Mughlai menu was Egg Chilli. I think this is first time had egg chilli which I find a very innovative recipe. I will definitely try to cook this at home. But here I find this awesome taste...a very innovative, must try.

Can't
explain the taste in words...it was so soft can't imagine and so the masala and
smoky tandoori taste

Deep fried assorted veggies and mirch pakora...Thumbs Up

Thick,
creamy haleem filled with mutton keema...exceptionally great in taste and
texture.
- Dates and Fresh Fruits
Iftaar Party never completes without dates and some fruits...so was
here...Afghani Dates and lots of fresh fruits - Banana, Watermelon, Mango, Papaya.
