For anyone
living in Kolkata, Durga Puja is more than just a religious affair.
Preparations for the coming Durga Puja begins as soon as the current one is
over. This festival of worshiping Goddess Durga is a way
of life for the people of Kolkata. The five-day celebrations are a mix of love,
adda, culture, food and lively chaos.
The blue sky
with fluffy white clouds, the sound of Dhaks and the festive cheer in the air,
Yes, Durga Puja is the true essence of people living in Kolkata. And for the
food lovers like me, it means Food! There are various small aspects of Durga
Puja that gets its present identity from the actual ritual, from adda sessions
to pandal hopping to the food of course! You cannot miss the Food, especially
during Pujas, if you consider yourself a serious foodie.
If you are
planning for comfort and luxurious food affair with your friends, family or a
special one, in this blog post, I will talk about my experience with The Nest,
in Chinar Park.
Ambience
(5/5): It is quite suitable for a fine dining experience. The
plush sofas and sleek wooden furniture look welcoming with the minimalistic
decor truly are attractive. The glass pane offering a view of the clear blue
sky above is romantic. Overall, it's a great restaurant for dining with your
loved ones.
Staff (5/5): The staff was very courteous and ensured we enjoyed our
dining experience. The management was handling everything quite professionally.
Food (4.5/5):
The variety of food
is intimidating. The taste ranges from great to excellent. We had opted for the
buffet lunch. The food was good in quality, and the food variations compared to
the buffet price is quite good.
